From 1 January 2025, Shore has fully merged with SOCOTEC’s existing Building Control team uniting under one name and vision.
For projects appointed before this date, your current Building Control provider will continue to oversee them as planned. Any new projects will now be managed under SOCOTEC Building Control.

There are changes coming into effect on 1st October 2023 to capture projects under the new Building Safety Act. This new legislation places greater responsibility on “Dutyholders” and all construction professionals.
Any new Initial Notice served on or after 1st October 2023 will automatically fall into this new legislation and require additional documentation at both appointment and completion, a list of the requirements is included in the brochure which is available via the link below. For existing projects where we have served our Initial Notice, works must start before 6th April 2024 to remain on the current legal framework.
