Graduates
At Shore, we deliver a personal approach to fully support your development throughout your career and progression through your qualification. No matter what stage you’re at in your qualification or career, we will work with you and adapt our graduate programme to suit your needs. We occupy a unique position in the construction industry, one which will expose you to virtually all aspects of the construction process from inception to completion.
We provide you with the training and support to enable you to achieve your academic qualifications together with ‘hands-on’ experience to help you to realise your true potential within the Shore family.
Our exceptional structured development programme, developed by our surveyors for our surveyors, gives you the experience and confidence to develop your skills and become an outstanding construction professional.
We support you every step of the way to achieve your academic and professional qualifications (i.e. CABE, RICS , IOSH etc.), our structured programme is specifically developed to cover and address all aspects of the chartered association/institutes assessment processes.
Post-qualification, we continue to support and invest in all of our staff and encourage continuous personal development (CPD)
Internship
We offer up to a 6-weeks paid internship for exceptional candidates in their penultimate year of study. This structured programme provides an insight into our industry (building control/CDM/business) working with the professional Shore team.
Apprenticeship
We offer a five-year apprenticeship programme leading to the Level 6 Chartered Surveyor (or equivariant for CDM) Degree.
This includes completing an undergraduate degree in Building Surveying (at ARU) (or equivariant for CDM) on a part-time basis, whilst gaining work experience and working closely with our highly experienced team of surveyors. You will then take the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) through the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (or equivariant for CDM).

If you are considering what you want to do in your future career we will offer support and mentoring to help you decide if our industry is right for you, which can lead you onto our Apprenticeship or Graduate training programme.

Building Control
Why Choose a Career in Building Control?
As Building Control Surveyors, we use our professional expertise and understanding of current building legislation, to provide advice to fellow construction professionals, construction workers and the public concerning issues relating to proposed construction works. We work closely with architects and designers at the planning and construction phase of building projects to ensure compliance across all aspects of the Building Regulations is demonstrated.
As a surveyor at Shore you will have a unique opportunity to be involved in projects as diverse as an extension on a private dwelling, to the construction of an entire shopping complex, or a multi-story office block in the City of London.

CDM Consultant
As a CDM or Health and Safety consultant you will work closely with architects, designers and developers during the planning and construction phase of building projects to ensure that health & safety is given primary focus on a construction project.
